Before specializing in music Cécile De Boever completed her language studies (English, German, Spanish, Italian and Russian). After completing her studies at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon she was awarded a scholarship from the french government to specialize in Opera at the Musikhochschule in Vienna.

Cécile De Boever started her carreer as coloratura soprano and could be heard as Susanna in LE NOZZE DI FIGARO, as Olympia in LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN, as Blondchen in ENTFÜHRUNG AUS DEM SERAIL, Despina in COSI FAN TUTTE, as Zerlina in DON GIOVANNI, Marioné in LA VEDOVA SCALTRA, Ännchen in DER FREISCHÜTZ, Oscar in GUSTAVE III, Valencienne in LUSTIGE WITWE, Adele in DIE FLEDERMAUS, Fünfte Magd in ELEKTRA, Karolka in JENUFA.

She has been invited to sing in Opera houses such as Deutsche Oper in Berlin, at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris, in Toulouse, Montpellier, Dresden, Leipzig, Postdam Sans-Souci, Aix en Provence and at the Salzburg Festivals, Tours and Metz.

In 2006 she gave her debut as Rosalinde in DIE FLEDERMAUS at the Capitole de Toulouse and sang Poulenc’s LA VOIX HUMAINE, followed by Woglinde in Strasbourg. Since her voice was developing as a Lyrical Spinto Soprano she has extended her repertoire from Mozart-roles such as Fiordiligi, Donna Anna, Contessa, Vitellia to Agathe, Chrysothemis, Elettra and Elisabeth.Highlights of the 2009/10 were her debut as Leonore / FIDELIO in Klagenfurt, Rosalinde / FLEDERMAUS in Cottbus as well as Fiordiligi / COSI FAN TUTTE in Irún. In the 2011/2012 season she was highly acclaimed by press and audience for her interpretation of Brünnhilde in a chamber version of Wagners Ring – the RING SAGA.
In 2013/ 2014 season she participated to many recitals in Paris,Lyon,Montpellier with piano,guitare ( Duet with S.Luigi), Beethoven’s « Ah Perfido » in Montpellier Opera House, Iseult’s death in La Cité de la Musique ( Paris)....
In 2015 she sang her first Mimi in La Bohême, Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus and gave concerts with the « Alphorn Trio ».

In 2016/ 2017/ 2018 : she sang Donna Anna in Don Giovanni , Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro and created 2 solo pieces with piano « 2000 Butterfly »and « Neuf vies d’une femme libre ».
In 2019 She was again Mimi in La Bohéme.

For the next season 2019/ 2020, she will give recitals : Wagner Concert, La Voix Humaine from Poulenc...
She will sing « 2000 fois Butterfly » and will be for the 1st Time Marie de l’Incarnation in « Les Dialogues des Carmélites »

On the concert stage she could be heard in Haydn’s CREATION, in Rameau’s GRANDS MOTETS, Brahm’s REQUIEM, Orff’s CARMINA BURANA, Mozart’s C MINOR MASS, Mahler’s IV. SYMPHONY, in Berlioz LES NUITS D’ÉTÉ, in Verdi’s REQUIEM with conductors such as Renato Palumbo, Marco Guidarini, Charles Dutoit, William Christie, Emmanuelle Haïm, Jiri Kout, Günter Neuhold, Michel Plasson , Jacques Mercier, Aldo Salvagno.
